Divide the sea and get away, pocket art enlargement fine art print on a primed 3mm thick aluminum Dibond board 70 x 120 cm, Zülpich 2017

Enlarged projection foil printed on Alu Dibond of a pocket art format from an overhead projector performance,

3mm thick aluminum Dibond plate

This unique print, featuring exceptionally lightfast and vibrant colors on a primed aluminum plate, is an enlargement of a pocket art piece measuring 86mm x 54mm, into which the foil from an overhead projector performance was sealed. Like a slide, the transparent pocket art can be projected onto a projection surface with a projector, and its enlargement can be photographed. A separate print file was created from this, which the fine art printer used to print a 15x enlargement of the pocket art onto the aluminum dibond plate in high resolution. The print file was then destroyed.

The Aludibond panel can be hung on a magnet that attaches to the wall. A professional, simple aluminum frame visually integrates the picture more into its surroundings, but it is also quite impressive without a frame. Framing with and without glass is available as a selection on the right-hand side.

Overhead projector performances by johann franki

He describes his early works as sequences of paintings in which he paints several sheets of paper in direct succession, thus creating a fluid movement between the images. He would prefer his paintings to remain fluid.

Fast watercolor is his preferred technique and was expanded in 1983 to the present day with action painting on overhead projectors .

The flowing image

With the overhead projector, Johann Franki has found a medium that allows him to combine painting with the work of other artists. On MalaMadita.de, he presents his images created from movement...

... because painting around was never his thing.
